A New Perspective

Change comes from the inside out. Your point of view can serve you or enable you. Your perspective is based on a set beliefs you have collected over your lifetime. For change of any kind to occur you must ask, are my thoughts empowering or disempowering? If your point of view is causing you pain and suffering, maybe it's time for a new your perspective. How can you do that when you have always looked or thought about a particular person or situation in a certain way? The first step is to simply ask, how can I see this situation or person differently? Now listen and receive the answer. It may come right away, in a day, a week or longer, but it will come. In the meantime, try experiencing your  day to day what it's like to have a new point of view. You could drive a different way home or shop at a different grocery store. If you walk, run, or bike take a different direction or path. If you order the same dish at a restaurant you love, try something new on the menu. This is a start to creating new neural pathways in your brain. Your telling your ego it's safe to do things differently. By changing your current set of habits and behaviors you will begin to experience what it feels like to gain a new perspective.
